Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds an Honorary Chair in Psychology within the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. Her name has been recognized for her pioneering work in studying witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in legal settings. Professor Goodman has published widely as well as received numerous grants. She has also has been awarded many international and national distinctions. She works with a variety of nations and organizations around the world regarding policies and the research of children's victimization within the court system. She works as a Consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a Fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Practice and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 55). Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Policy for Children and Families and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
